The contest was held within the project “Civil Society and Media for Transparent Local Budgets!”. The award ceremony was held in Kiev on September 18 and 19, as part of the National Forum “Civil society and public finances.”
The “Civil Society and Media for a Transparent Local Budgets!” project is being implemented by the civil partnership “For Transparent Local Budgets!”, the Odessa regional organization of NGO “Committee of Voters of Ukraine”, which is a member of the Ukrainian Helsinki Human Rights Union and the Open Society Foundation, financed by the European Union and the Embassy of Finland in Ukraine.
The contest “Coverage of Corruption in the Use of Local Budgets” took place in the period from March to September 2016. The winners were determined by the amount of points according to several criteria and evaluated by the expert jury.
Names of winners in the categories of “Video,” “Online” and “Print” are available on the project website “Civil Society and Media for Transparent Local Budgets!”.
